Local Restaurants

      There are numerous restaurants in Boca Raton providing everything from fast food to four-star dining. From the University, take Glades Road east about three miles to Federal Highway and then go either north or south to find a variety of restaurants. Mizner Park is to the south and is an area of interest to tourists and shoppers and has excellent restaurants. Visitors are also welcome to eat on campus at the University Cafeteria, or inside the University Center.

Special Attractions

      There are several attractions in Boca Raton and vicinity. On campus, visitors may want to see the Ritter Art Gallery located in the "Breezeway" on the second floor. The whole family can enjoy the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center (along A1A in Boca Raton), with a nature museum, observation tanks with local sea life, nature trails, and an observation tower. The Biological Sciences Department has facilities there as does the Marine Materials Center of the Department of Ocean Engineering.
