A funded postdoctoral position is available starting immediately, in the Institute of Ocean
and Systems Engineering at Florida Atlantic University. Projects will focus on the hull design,
optimization, control, and stability of novel vessel designs. This position requires an earned
Ph.D. in Naval Architecture, Ocean, Marine, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering with a strong
background in ship control and applied design. Experience with systems engineering and hydrodynamics
would be a plus. The successful candidate should be self-motivated and possess strong written
and oral communication skills. The position is based at the SeaTech campus in Dania Beach, Florida.
