Target Information
The westward, deep side of the target field contains targets buried 30 cm down to the tops of targets. The eastward, flush side of the target field contains targets buried flush with the sea floor. _________________________ Spheres 35.6 cm (14 inch) oil-filled spheres: stainless steel sound speed of silicon oil :1004 m/s _________________________ Small Cylinders Diameter :1.5 inches Short cylinders placed vertically Long cylinders placed horizontally Upon deployment, caps removed and cylinders assumed to be filled with sand. _________________________ Clutter Scuba tanks were filled with water, saturated sand and capped. _________________________ Lim Targets Hollow metal cylinders filled with concrete. Targets placed in horizontal, E/W orientation. |
